Message Notes
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23
At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.
Titus 3:3-5

Bottom Line

Embodying God's kindness requires seeing  other people as more than the harm they cause and choosing to extend them grace.

How do we cultivate kindness?

  • Meditate on God's kindness towards you [and others]
  • Ask God to help you see people the way He does
  • Temporarily fill information gaps with the possibility of a less negative story
  • Mind the space between an action and a reaction

Action Steps

  • Go out of your way to connect with someone you struggle to embody kindness towards.
  • When you find yourself getting amped, pray for patience peace and love
