"The greatest crisis facing the church today are leaders whose character can’t bear their gifting."
— Dallas Willard
“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
Matthew 7:15-20

Appearances can be deceiving
"Bullies in the church often don’t look like bullies."
— Michael Kruger
How do you know who is the real deal?
We need to inspect the fruit.
Inspecting the fruit requires getting proximate to the fruit.
Who we are becoming matters more than what we are doing.
We need to measure what matters.
If you want to bear kingdom fruit, you’ll need to prioritize your own transformation.
Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
John 15:4-5
