2023 Generosity Challenge Grant

The Way We Approach Generosity

If you’ve been coming to Crosspoint for any length of time, you know that we care a lot about generosity. We want to be a generous community that reflects a generous God.

You also know that we believe generosity is not a percentage or dollar amount, but an entire lifestyle lived in response to the gospel. So, instead of pressuring people to give, we encourage each person to pray about what God would have them give and then respond to that invitation faithfully and cheerfully (2 Corinthians 9).

All of this is done in pursuit of becoming a generous community that reflects Jesus to the world.

Our Goal for 2023

Our goal for this coming year is to have everyone who calls Crosspoint home to participate financially on a regular and recurring basis by giving some amount at least 1x per month, however small or big that amount might be. We aren’t going to pressure you to give or track you down. Our hope is that every person who calls Crosspoint home would learn to pray about how God is leading them to give and respond faithfully.

We are asking that you join with us in pursuing this goal of becoming a generous community where everyone participates by giving financially on a regular basis.

Generosity Challenge Grant

To help fulfill this goal, a generous donor has come forward to fund a Generosity Challenge Grant. Here’s how it works: for everyone who sets up a new recurring (monthly, biweekly, or weekly) giving account at Crosspoint, this donor will give $25 to support families in need through our ongoing partnership with the Oconomowoc Area School District. For every couple giving jointly, that’s $50. This money will go towards buying snacks for students in need during the school day, grocery gift cards, and gas gift cards for families who need extra help.

This is where your giving leads to giving that blesses families that are in need.  Your giving can create even more generosity towards others!

We will provide regular updates as we make progress towards this challenge. As of April we have 69 new monthly givers!

Important Notes

We recently decided to move our church to a new digital platform that is much more user friendly. If you have a recurring donation set up through Elexio, you will need to switch to our new platform. You can find information on how to do that here.
